As previously examined, Human-Centered Design provided the underlying philosophy and mindset for Design Thinking, while the Design Thinking process provided the procedural flow of steps to undertake for using Design Thinking. But these alone are incomplete. By themselves, they leave teams incapable of executing the Design Thinking process. What is missing is a toolbox of methods to support each task and activity. Being able to carry out the Design Thinking process indeed requires such a toolbox. Fortunately, Design Thinking brings with it such a toolbox of supporting methods. These are known as the Design Methods.
